Rendezvous Peak

I almost called this post "A rendezvous with destiny".  However, I can't compete with FDR's speech before the 1936 Democratic National Convention in which he claims, "this generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny."

That said, Meg and I headed up to the shoulder of Rendezvous Peak atop Arctic Valley.  There was a wierd temperature inversion going on.  7F in Eagle river, 38F at Alpenglow...that high pressure is something else.

Lobita (AKA "Dogface") ready to go...

Meg (AKA "The Shrink") ready to go...

Matt (AKA "Birdcage") & Meg ready to go...

Doing what she does best...

Meg practices her powder turns on the lower angle slopes of the saddle between Mount Gordon Lyon and Rendezvous Peak.

LB chasing after Meg.

Someone got left in the dust...

Lobita had a pretty rough weekend with post-holing through the soft styrofoam like wind slab.
